🌍 SERMON: PRESSURE OF THE WORLD By Treasure Ephraim Theme Scripture: Romans 12:2 — “Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” --- 🔥 INTRODUCTION Beloved, today we confront a silent killer—a force that bends destinies, destroys identity, and pressures souls into the mould of this fallen world. It is called PEER PRESSURE… but even deeper, it is the PRESSURE OF THE WORLD. Let's break it down: 👉 Who is a Peer? Someone on your level—spiritually, financially, emotionally, academically, socially. 👉 What is Pressure? A mental strain caused by internal or external expectations. Put them together: Peer Pressure = What you make of yourself or what others try to make you become. No age group is exempt. Not children. Not teenagers. Not youths. Not adults. Not even elders. This pressure is sweeping across the Earth like a wildfire. But today, God will open your eyes. God will set you free. God will realign your identity. --- 💥 THE REALITY OF WORLDLY PRESSURE We live in a world where people no longer chase purpose—they chase comparison. They no longer pursue God—they pursue validation. People are: Joining cults Engaging in fraud (Yahoo, Yahoo) Becoming ritualists Falling into drugs Doing Aristo Living in sexual immorality Practicing witchcraft and sorcery Why? Because the world whispers: “Do what everyone else is doing.” But the Spirit of God is shouting: “That everyone is doing it does NOT make it right!” Ecclesiastes 7:29 “God made man upright, but they have sought out many inventions.” No man—hear me—NO MAN has the right to define who you become. Your validation is not in the world but in the WORD. --- 💎 THE TRUTH ABOUT SELF-ACCEPTANCE Before anyone accepts you, you must accept yourself. Before anyone celebrates you, you must first value yourself. If you don’t stand for something, you will fall for anything. Whatever you permit… persists. Whatever you tolerate… dominates. Whatever you allow… will eventually swallow you. Proverbs 29:25 “The fear of man brings a snare…” Stop living for applause. Stop living for comparison. Stop living for validation. You are different. You are special. You are unique. You are handcrafted by the Creator Himself. --- 🕯️ THE DECEPTION OF WORLDLY COMPARISON You compare yourself with your peers on Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat—but have you ever compared yourself with those in: Hospitals? Prisons? Mental homes? Mortuaries? Graveyards? If you woke up this morning… you are blessed. If you can breathe freely… you are wealthy. If you are alive… you still have purpose. Stop grieving over what you don’t have and start thanking God for what you still have. --- 👁️ GUARD YOUR EYES AND EARS You are a product of what you see and hear. Jesus said in Matthew 6:22: “The eye is the lamp of the body.” If your eye is corrupt, your whole life becomes dark. Your ears determine your direction. Your direction determines your destination. Your destination determines your destiny. Not every information is for you. Not every circle is for you. Not every friend is for you. --- 🚫 WHAT TO SAY NO TO With authority, with conviction, with clarity: ❌ Say NO to drugs ❌ Say NO to fraud ❌ Say NO to Aristo ❌ Say NO to cultism ❌ Say NO to evil communication ❌ Say NO to destructive friendships ❌ Say NO to ungodly pressure If you mean NO, don’t say YES. If you mean YES, don’t say NO. Your destiny is too precious to gamble with. --- 🔥 THE CALL TO REALIGNMENT 1 John 2:15 says: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world.” The pressure of the world destroys. The pressure of the world misleads. The pressure of the world blinds. But the pressure of God— His love, His calling, His purpose—lifts you, heals you, and saves you. --- RHEMA CITY CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP 🙏 ALTAR CALL — A CALL TO FREEDOM Beloved, maybe you are here and you’re tired. Tired of pretending. Tired of acting strong. Tired of pressure. Tired of comparison. Tired of sin. Today, Jesus is calling you. Matthew 11:28 “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” If you want to surrender your life to Christ— or you want deliverance from peer pressure, worldly addiction, ungodly habits… Repeat this prayer with faith: ✨ PRAYER OF SALVATION Lord Jesus, I come to You today. I am tired of the pressure of the world. Forgive me of my sins. Wash me with Your blood. Deliver me from every addiction, every habit, every peer pressure, and every worldly influence. I surrender my life to You. Be my Lord and my Saviour. From today, I choose You above the world. I choose the Word above pressure. Thank You for saving me. Amen. ---.
