REMAIN IN JERUSALEM.
LUKE 10:30-37.
The journey from Jerusalem (God's presence, salvation) to Jericho (the world, compromise) in Luke 10:30 is a potent spiritual metaphor. The man went down, a necessary caution that distance from God is always a descent.
This spiritual drift exposes the soul to "thieves" i.e sin, fear, and guilt leaving it severely wounded.
Praise God for the Good Samaritan, Jesus Christ, who "came where he was. Christ meets us in our lowest state, pouring the oil and wine of healing and restoration. The message is clear: Drifting is dangerous, but returning to Him (James 4:8) is immediate life.
