Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.
Does anyone remember yesterday? Not necessarily my post, but the day. Mine is a blur of activity that left me wondering if I did anything. I do remember sporadic laughter at silly nonsense, but that was to keep us from losing our minds at all the little bits of stupidity that seemed to keep popping up. Two people, with remarkably similar personalities, keeping their mood in check and not allowing minor issues to build to create a bigger issue, in a quick fast fast-paced cadence of every two to three minutes, was something else…inherently turns to huge sarcasm in an attempt to break the stupidness of the day. That was my yesterday. Now it is a blur of “huh” … “did I accomplish anything yesterday” … “It is over, right?”
I remember feeling as though my brain would not turn on and remind me of what I was supposed to be doing. Thank goodness for the checklist, because I am sure that I would not have remembered half of what was on there.
My hope was that I would get home in time to travel out the She Shed and make a video; however, by the time I got home, the sun had snuggled itself into its big comfy bed and said, “NOPE, I am done.” Where I am not afraid of the boogie man out there, I could not remember what I was going to talk about.
Today is going to be quite busy as well. I have several appointments throughout the day. Carefully schedule so as not to interfere with one another, but still quite a few. It is a full day with my mommy, so whatever happens today will be an absolute blast, two relics who act like children…what could possibly go wrong?
Perspective. Today’s post is all about perspective. How we view the things and issues in our lives determines how we perceive the Father. Read that again. How we view the things and the issues in our lives determines how we perceive the Father.
(Auto correct is starting its thing today…ugh,)
Yesterday’s chaos was one issue at a time to be dealt with. One time, I had three questions coming at me and a situation right in front of me. If I recall correctly, though I was rude, I was stern in each to give me just a second response. It is opportunities like that where the enemy really presses in on you to give up your peace from frustration. As I felt that building in my spirit, I opted for a deep breath, a quick mental time out, another deep breath, and then … then I could answer all that was coming. Not one of the people who were needing my assistance was rude or belligerent, nor did they know what I was doing at the time…ugly was not needed, warranted, or … thankfully … issued. That was God. God whispered. God directed my words and tone. God answered the mass flood of requests. It was all God.
In that moment, whether I consciously prayed or not, my spirit requested His intervention. I perceive my life as a severe obstacle course that only He can navigate. So, when those days, like yesterday, arrive, my spirit wakes up, gets his coffee, and we go to work. I do not blame anyone for the nonsense; it is just that. I do not give Murphy credit; it was just a day. I choose to perceive the day I had as a multiple-choice test where C was not always the answer. I choose to perceive life as a piece of equipment that just needs to be unplugged, count to 30, and re-plugged in. I perceive yesterday in the Light of how it could have been so much worse. I choose to give credit where credit is due; my Father saw the day and directed my steps. Yesterday was a victory.
Be blessed today my friends.
