Colossians 2:1-7 Park Summitt 2019 NKJV

Luke 7:18:29 Then the disciples of John reported to him concerning all these things.

And John, calling two of his disciples to him, sent them to Jesus, saying, "Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?"

When the men had come to Him, they said, "John the Baptist has sent us to You, saying, 'Are You the Coming One, or do we look for another?"

and that very hour He cured many of infirmities, afflictions, and evil spirits; and to many blind He gave sight.

Jesus answered and said to them,

"Go and tell John the things you have seen and heard; that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, the poor have the gospel preached to them.

"And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me."

When the messengers of John had departed, He began to speak to the multitudes concerning John:

"What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

"But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft garments? Indeed those who are gorgeously appareled and live in luxury are in kings' courts.

"But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I say to you, and more than a prophet.

"This is he of whom it is written: 'Behold, I send My messenger before your face, Who will prepare Your way before You."

"For i say to you, among those born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he."

And when all the people heard Him, even the tax collectors justified God, having been baptized with the baptism of John.

Isaiah 42:5-9 Thus says God the LORD, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it;

"I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, And will hold your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles,

To open blind eyes, To bring our prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house.

I am the LORD, that is My name; And My glory I will not give to another, Nor My praise to carved images.

Behold, the former things have come to pass, And new things I declare; Before they spring forth I tell you of them."

Psalm 147:1-6 PRAISE the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; For it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful

The LORD builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.

He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.

He counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by name.

Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.

The LORD lifts up the humble; He casts the wicked down to the ground.

Psalm 30:8-12 I cried out to You, O LORD; And to the LORD I made supplication;

"What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it declare Your truth?

Hear, O LORD, and have mercy on me; LORD, be my helper!"

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing; You have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

To the end that my glory may sing praise to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks to you forever.

Isaiah 59:20-21 "The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob." Says the LORD.

"As for Me," says the LORD, "this is My covenant with them; My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants' descendants," says the LORD, "from this time and forevermore."
