A Warning to the Christians
This morning, after my morning devotion, two things came to my mind that I must share with you....
1.
Do you know that many Christians commit secret sins more than unbelievers
It is sad but true.
Many who carry the Bible do not carry the fear of God in their hearts.
Many who worship in church do not live in holiness in secret..
Unbelievers sin openly because they do not know the truth…
But Christians sin secretly even though they know the truth.
Secret sin is more dangerous because:
It destroys the conscience silently.
It weakens spiritual authority.
It opens doors to the enemy.
It makes a believer appear righteous outside but rotten inside.
Jesus said, "Woe to you… you are like whitewashed tombs."
God sees the heart. He sees the midnight conversations, the hidden websites, the fake holiness, the anger, the lust, the gossip, the unforgiveness.
A Christian who hides sin is worse than an unbeliever who admits his sin.
2.
Do you know that the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ will surprise many Christians more than sinners
Yes.
Not because the unbelievers are ready, but because the Christians are careless.
The world is not expecting Jesus,
but the painful truth is that many Christians are not expecting Him either.
Many Christians pray, but not in Holiness.
They serve, but without purity.
They preach, but without repentance.
They sing, but without transformation.
Jesus warned,
"Not everyone who calls Me ‘Lord, Lord’ will enter the Kingdom…"
Why
Because many Christians know the language of church
but
not the life of Christ.
Jesus coming will surprise Christians who:
Live in secret sin
Play church but do not fear God
Have form of godliness but no power
Love blessings but hate holiness
Love prophecy but hate repentance
Love miracles but ignore righteousness
The trumpet will sound and many Christians will cry,
“Lord, I was in church!”
But He will say,
“I don’t know you.”
The warning today is
Don’t be a Christian only by mouth, be a Christian by lifestyle.
Don’t hide sin, confess and forsake it.
Don’t play with holiness, it is the requirement for heaven.
Don’t sleep, Jesus is coming unexpectedly.
The greatest shock on the last day will not be for the sinners…
but for the Christians who lived double lives.
