Matthew 9:1-13 KJV
Matthew 9:1-13 And he entered into a ship, and passed over, and came into his own city.
And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed; and Je'-sus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; "Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee.
And, behold, certain of the scribes said within themselves, This man blasphemeth.
And Je'-sus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?
For weather is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and walk?
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house.
And he arose, and departed to his house.
But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men.
And as Je-sus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Mat'-thew, sitting at the receipt of custom; and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him.
And it came to pass, as Je'-sus sat at meat in the house, behold, many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples.
And when the Phar'-i-sees saw it, they said unto his disciples. Why eateth your Master with publicans and sinners?
But when Je'-sus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice; for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
Matthew 12:22-30 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb; and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of Da'-vid?
But when the Phar'-i-sees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Be-el'-ze-bub the prince of the devils.
And Je'-sus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand;
And if Sa'-tan cast out Sa'-tan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
And if I by Be-el'-ze-bub cast out devils; by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
Mark 2:3-5 And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four.
And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was; and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.
When Je'-sus saw their faith, he said unto the of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
Luke 5:18-20 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy; and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Je'-sus.
And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, they sins are forgiven thee.
Matthew 11:16-19 But whereunto shall I liken this generation? It is like unto children sitting in the markets, and calling unto their fellows,
And saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned unto you, and ye have not lamented.
For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He hath a devil.
The Son of man came eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a man glutttonous, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners. But wisdom is justified of her children.
Hosea 6:6 For I desire mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
Matthew 12:7-8 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
For the Son of man is Lord even on the sabbath day.
