Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Yesterday was such a good day. I actually felt like I accomplished something. I actually felt like I earned, at least part of the money I make. This week has been an overwhelming week with my brain turning all thoughts into a blank piece of paper with no concept of what to do next. However, yesterday marked the end of the chaotic week of work and doctors. Naturally, I had to end the week with me going for me…no worries, just the initial visit to let them know that I need a name, and you probably won't see me again for me for another 12 years … haha. By the end of the visit, they took their standard 14 tubes of my coffee-induced blood and bid me adieu until next time.

There has not been a lot of work done on my book, hoping that after today’s event, my brain will turn back on into book mode. Where I thought that this would be the final book, God has shown me that it is not. There will most likely be a fifth book in this series. Far too many storylines to try and wrap up. Now that I have made that proclamation, it could possibly wrap up in this book. I think God waits sometimes to ‘hear’ my thoughts so He can grab some popcorn and go, ‘mmmhmmm’.

When I go out each day, I make sure that I have a pocket of Little Jesus’ available. It makes for a good random gift. As I sit here this morning, I have one on my computer. I found on my desk a piece of trash…I think a cord tie of some sort that I have straightened out… and turned into a staff. My little Jesus now has a staff to shepherd me as I write. If he reaches out and touches me…I will spew my coffee… just saying.

Today we say good-bye and remember my niece. She was a miracle to start off with. Doctors said she had hours, then days, then maybe a couple of months….19 years later she was called home. There are those who say too young, not her time, why … but then they miss the blessings that she provided. Her humor, oh yes…this non-verbal (most of the time) child was quite humorous. And the few times that she did choose to speak, she was on cue and on point. I can tell you that she had a personality of her own for sure. She did not like me. (Not sure why, I am very likable … haha) Not until she got older then she tolerated me, I think, for the sake of my sister. I also knew better than to invade her space … we had an understanding.

Many times, when we lose a young life, we want to blame God for ending their life too soon. The thing is, we all have a clock. We all have a limit. We all have a mission. When our mission of time is over, it is over. We are not told exactly how long we have on purpose because we are impulsive children. Just like we want to beat Google and get to your destination faster, if we knew that our last day was going to be November 22, 2025 …we would fixate on that date and miss the life that was planned out for us.

Just as we do not know when the Son of Man is returning, we do not know when we are leaving. That is why we should not fixate on the negative but work to improve the narrative to the positive. When we place Jesus forefront of our day, the negative diminishes and the Light shines through, creating a better atmosphere. My week this week was a chaotic mess, and I focused on my mess instead of the fact that it all got done with truly minimal issues. As I look back on my week I see the blessings and the overwhelming moments colliding. It is because I put my eyes on the storm, instead of Him.

Today, whatever you are going through, take a moment and refix your gaze on the One who is truly in charge and take your eyes off the chaos that is whirling around. Your peace will return, and you will be able to focus on what is important.

Be blessed today my friends.
