Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

November is the host of two incredible holidays. Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. As we approach the second of these wonderful days, I am curious to know what you are thankful for. I have done posts like this before where I laid out simple things in life…house, car, pets, furniture, etc. The things that we truly take for granted. Today, however, my list of thankfulness is a little different. Today I am sincerely thankful for the chaos…the lack of focus…the blank slate.

As you read that again to see if you read that right…yes, I am thankful for the chaos, the lack of focus, and the blank slate in my mind all week. I truly was on autopilot. But do you know what else, I was not thinking about myself. I was not thinking about how I could do. I was not thinking that my way was better. I was not thinking. Because of the enormous list of things that needed to get done, my brain said ‘shh’ and went silent. Everything still got done. Everything was accomplished. Nothing got missed. Smooth as silk, this week has been a victory.

How?

God.

It was not a victory because I cried out or whined, and complained. It was not a victory for anything that I did, other than, obey.

He saw that my plate was dripping gravy all over the nice, clean floor, that I was going to trip, and spill all of my contents all over the place. That it was going to be a sloppy mess. It was then that He reached down, took my plate, leveled it out, and escorted me to my seat at the table. All I did, was follow.

This week has been a very busy and convoluted mess of appointments, requirements, and deadlines. So much so that the tornado that ran through my brain wiped the paper clean, and I literally had no thoughts. Friends will tell you that I even mentioned that I had no direction other than autopilot. But this week taught me, the chaos was not an issue. The overburdened schedule was not a problem. I wasn’t even a problem. God reached down, took my yolk, and gave me His. That is how much He loves me. This week reminded me of how much my Father in heaven cares. He cares enough to grab my plate and just take it … knowing that I will follow and my day will be better. No reasoning. No explanation. No requests or demands. Just His unconditional Love.

As we enter his house today, give thanks for the chaos that reminds us of who we are in Him and to Him.

Be blessed today my friends.

***But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. –2 Corinthians 12:9
