Universal Currency
Everyone needs God’s unconditional love. His love is a universal currency that transcends all barriers. It doesn’t matter what country you live in, how rich or poor you are, or what your status is - all people need love! God’s currency is internationally accepted, with no exchange rates or fees. And everyone can make transactions at God’s bank regardless of race, religious background, or education. Even though the love in this bank is free to all, not everyone opens an account. Some search their whole life for happiness, but never once made a deposit or a withdrawal from the Love Bank. Others were blessed to have experienced love but lost it through arguments, selfishness, or various reasons for separation, including death. Throughout life, there’s no doubt that you’ll meet all kinds of people in this world. Some will be lifelong friends, while others will stay mere acquaintances. There will be those who are just wonderful and kind people, as well as those who are mean-spirited and evil. But it’s good to remember that it’s never “all bad” for each person you meet, adds something to your life. Good people bring you happiness, and the bad ones will give you experience. Even the worst people you’ll encounter will give you a life lesson. God wants us to love everyone - yes, even our enemies. The Bible tells us in Luke 6:35, “But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.” It’s never too late to start an account at “God’s Love Bank.” Regardless if people are kind or hateful, choose to love everyone with God’s love. Follow the advice given in Ephesians 4:32: “Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Remember that Jesus loves “all” His children and He will give you enough love in your heart to love everyone too, so follow His command in John 15:12: “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” Text: 1 John 4:16, 1 Peter 4:8, Colossians 3:14, John 15:12
