Are all of the US military personnel that are on CHAT LINES scammers?

No, but all the scammers who are pretending to be military personnel on chat lines are. If you want to verify whether your internet penpal is an authentic Service member, ask them for their military email and the APO or FPO mailing address. An authentic US Army email address will look something like this: john.smith@army.mil.

When they give you that email address, type (don’t copy and paste) the email address in your email and send them an email with a single word that is hard to guess in the text area. Then ask them to tell you what that word is when they receive the email- of course, don’t tell them what the word is ahead of time. If they’re legitimate, they’ll be able to tell you what it is. If you receive an email back saying the email was undeliverable or you get a response asking who you are, then you know your penpal is a fraud. You can do the same thing with a letter sent to their APO/FPO - take the letter to the post office and have them check the zip code. If the address is fake, the post office will let you know right there and then.
