The road to heaven feels like hell.
The road to hell feels like heaven.
Matthew 7:14

5 habits from the Holy spirit that will build your christian life.

1. Sleep: Rest is good. But when sleeping late becomes your lifestyle, it's often a symptom of something deeper which is lack of purpose and poor discipline.
Sleeping late is poor discipline because as a Christian, you should be waking up every night to pray.

Try this: sleep around 8/9pm, wake exactly 12am. Pray for one hour or 30 minutes at least. When you're done, sleep like a baby because you just laboured in prayer.

When you're awake, Read the bible for one hour before you start your day. Do this everyday with gratitude to God.

2. Keeping bad company: the christian family around you shape your mindset more than you realize. If your christian circle normalizes negativity, gossip, or laziness, it becomes your normal too.

Try this: audit your christian circle. Spend more time with people who challenge you, not just those who comfort you.

Growth rarely happens in comfortable company.

3. Forgetting you have limited time: we live like we have infinite tomorrows. We scroll, delay and tell ourselves "later". But time is the one thing we can't buy back --- John 9:4

Try this: at the start of each week, ask yourself: if this were my last month alive, what should actually matter? Let that answer guide your priorities.

4. Saying yes when you should say no: every yes is also a no to something else --- often your peace, focus or rest. People pleasing feels good in the moment, but over time it breeds resentment and burnout.

Try this: pause before you agree to anything. Ask: would I still want to do this if it were tomorrow morning?

5. Complaining about what you can't change: complaining tricks you into feeling you're doing something when you're actually staying stuck. Energy spent on blame could be used to adapt, improve or move on.

Try this: the next time you want to complain, channel that energy into action --- pray and study the word. Both move you forward. Complaining keeps you still.
