When People Become Difficult

Scripture:
Romans 12:18
“If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.”

Insight:
There are seasons in life when nothing feels more exhausting than dealing with people. Human beings can be unpredictable, complicated, and sometimes deeply unpleasant. The emotions we feel in such moments are real. Yet, God calls us to rise above the frustrations we face with wisdom, grace, and inner strength that comes from Him.

Reflection:
People may bring stress, confusion, or pain, but God reminds us that our peace does not depend on the behavior of others. It depends on the condition of our hearts before Him. While humans can be tiring, God is constant.

When the actions of people wear us down, we are invited to draw closer to the One who never changes, who understands our frustrations, and who strengthens us to respond with patience and discernment.

As you navigate complicated relationships, remember that God equips you to maintain peace even in the midst of human unpredictability.

Prayer:
Lord, please help me when people around me become difficult or draining. Teach me to respond in wisdom, patience, and love. Keep my heart calm and grounded in You. Give me grace to deal with those who test my peace, and remind me that my strength comes from You alone. Amen.
