Good morning to you. Grace and peace be with you.

Happy Thanksgiving. I hope that the day you have brings you joy, hope, peace, and creates memories that will last a lifetime. (Writer's confession…that sentence right there was wrong, and I had to re-read it several times before I realized that I left out (the day) I need more coffee.)

As I finished chapter 28 last night of the new book and lay my head on my pillow, my mind was flooded with ideas for this morning’s post. I recall one was really out of the box, and others were teetering on the edge, thinking of making the box top flaps diving boards. I can hardly wait to see what He has in store for my fingertips this morning.

When we were growing up, our television shows were constantly interrupted by commercials. These inconvenient pauses in our shows were sometimes treasures just waiting to be acquired. After all, who could not live without knowing that Timex watches could take a licking and keep on ticking. Or that our lunch meat had a first name. It is especially helpful to know that Mikey will eat anything. All valuable steps in our survival and entry into the adult world. The really good commercials stick in your head forever. I mean, those that I mentioned were done way back in the eighties … so you see …

Today my question is for you, specifically in your walk. Not the seeds you are planting, but you specifically. How are you marketing Jesus?

Think about that for a second. When you talk to yourself about your journey either to Him or with Him … what are you telling yourself about Him that will make you want to buy into his product?

The way we introduce ourselves to the One who guides us is exactly how we introduce Him to others. If we do not believe completely and wholeheartedly in Him, how are we going to ‘sell’ Him to others?
In my journey I could tell you specifically the whens and the wheres that I was not with Him (mind you, he never left me). I can tell you each time that I felt like He did not care about me (but he did). I can tell you the times that I was always angry (but he was not). I can tell you of the times it felt like ‘if He is real, then why’ (and he is real). I am no different than anyone else. WE all have these moments. If we didn’t, then I do not believe we would be following at all. It would be an illusion from the enemy.

Today I market Him to myself in the same manner as those commercials that I mentioned before. I am Karalee, I can take a licking and keep on ticking. My name is Karalee, I will take on any challenge you put before me. And my Father has a first name … it is Yahweh.

My God is not genie, and I do not get everything I desire. My God is a loving parent who holds me through the rough times and celebrates with me through the good times.

Be blessed today my friends.
