Genesis 1:1-5 First Seven Days-Day 1 One Year Chronological

The Account of Creation

Genesis 1:1-5 (January 1) In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.

God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.

God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night." And there was evening, and there was morning--the first day.

God Became a Human Being

John 1:1-5 (September 30) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was with God in the beginning.

Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

In him was life, and that life was the light of men.

The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

John 1:14-18 (September 30) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

John testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me.'"

From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.

For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father's side, has made him known,

John 10:30 (October 25) I and the Father are one."

John 3:13-21 (October 2) No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven--the Son of Man.

Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man be lifted up,

that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.

This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.

Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.

But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Colossians 1:15-18 (December 14) He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

For by him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, all things were created by him and for him.

He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

And he is the head of the church; he is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything he might have the supremacy.

1 John 5:11-13 (December 26) And this is the testimony; God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son,

He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

Genesis 1:14 (January 1) And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark seasons and days and years,

2 Corinthians 4:5-6 (December 1) For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake.'

For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

The River of Life

Revelation 22:1-5 (December 31) Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree for the healing of the nations.

No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him.

They will see his face, and his name will  be on their foreheads.

There will be no more night, They will not need the light of a lamp  or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever.
