John 3:13-21 30+ in Depth RSV
John 8:12-18 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world; he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
The Phar'-i-sees then said to him, "You are bearing witness to yourself; your testimony is not true."
Jesus answered, "Even if I do bear witness to myself, my testimony is true, for I know whence I have come and whither I am going, but you do not know whence I come or whither I am going.
You judge according to the flesh, I judge no one.
Yet even if I do judge, my judgement is true, for it is not I alone that judge, but I and he who sent me.
In your law it is written that the testimony of two men is true;
I bear witness to myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness to me."
John 8:28-29 So Jesus Said, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am he, and that I do nothing on my own authority but speak thus as the Father taught me;
And he who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what is pleasing to him."
John 12:34-36 The crowd answered him, "We have heard from the law that the Christ remains for ever. How can you say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?"
Jesus said, to them, "The light is with you for a little longer. Walk while you have the light, lest the darkness overtake you; he who walks in the darkness does not know where he goes.
While you have the light, believe in the light, that you may become sons of light."When Jesus had said this, he departed and hid himself from them.
John 12:44-47 And Jesus cried out and said, "He who believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me.
And he who sees me sees him who sent me.
I have come as light into the world, that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness.
If any one hears my sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.
Luke 9:51-56 When the days drew near for him to be received up, he set his face to go to Jerusalem.
And he sent messengers ahead of him, who went and entered a village of the Sa-mar'-i-tans, to make ready for him;
but the people would not receive him, because his face was set toward Jerusalem.
And when his disciples James and John saw it, they said, "Lord, do you want us to bid fire come down from heaven and consume them?"
But he turned and rebuked them.
And they went on to another village.
