Daily Devotional Companion

THOSE WHO LOVE YOU.

John 21:15-16 (KJV)...... So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

[16] He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Ministry is a testing ground. It is a testing ground for everyone who intends from the heart to serve Jesus. The ministry will test everybody. No one will be exempted from the test of ministry.

In ministry, you will come in contact with different people. Though we be many, God knows all of us. It is true that it is God we all came to serve, but no one has seen God face to face (John 1:18); you will either see the sent man or woman.

In ministry, those who will last are THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD AND THE MAN. Listen, you can't claim to love the Lord if you don’t love the man. How can you claim to love the Lord whom you haven't seen and despise the man you see whom he sent?

A lot of people who are serving in the ministry don't carry love for their man or woman of God. What we do is pretend, but there is no true love. How do you know if you love the man? You will be about the business because you know it's the Lord's business. You will be self-motivated to do the job, and you will be encouraged and stay to see the work grow. Hallelujah.

Prayer:
Lord, help my heart today and purged my heart of any evil intentions in Jesus name. Amen.

Bible Reference: 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 (AMP).

Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 17:8 (MSG).... .Receiving a gift is like getting a rare gemstone; any way you look at it, you see beauty refracted.
