Trust is a powerful feeling. Trust is a branch of faith. In fact, sometimes the word 'believe' is defined or explained as trust, but there is a slight difference between the two. To trust is to put confidence in something or someone. That word 'confidence' is also very vital. David, in our theme scripture, is showing us the places or people some put their trust in or on. He said some trust in CHARIOTS, and some in HORSES. Both chariots and horses are metaphoric in nature. Meaning that both words are pointing to something different. To trust in chariots is to trust in your connections as an individual. It speaks of having the connection of some high and mighty people all around the world. And to trust in horses is to trust in your army or political powers, but those two places or people can fail you. But he says as for me, he will remember the name of the Lord. Meaning that he wants us to put our trust in the name of the Lord. Why? Because the name of the Lord, the Bible says, is a strong tower, and once you run into it, you are saved. Hallelujah.
