BEWARE OF CORRUPT LEADERS.
2 Peter 2:14-15 (KJV).... .having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
[15] which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness.
Today, I am led by the Spirit of God to write to you so you can avoid corrupt leaders. Where do you think the leaders I am referring to are found? The church, the house of God. There are leaders among us who are pretending; they still have the character of the unsaved within them.
These people are using Christianity as a means to carry out their mission.
Many of them are amongst us, and funny enough, they are leaders among us. They are in the church; they are wolves but put on sheep's clothing so we don't identify them. They are among the ushers, the choir, the pastorate, etc., but we must identify them.
But how? Our theme scripture gave us signs with which we can mark them.
- Having eyes full of adultery. They are too immoral; when they see the opposite sex, what comes to their mind first is sex.
- They can't cease from sin. Is this not a sign that they are not born again?
Be guided.
Prayer:
Thank you father for teaching us your word and by it opening our eyes to know and identify the people among us but we ask for your mercy daily. Amen.
Bible Reference: 1Corinthians 5: 1-13.
Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 13:7 (MSG)..... A pretentious, showy life is an empty life; a plain and simple life is a full life.
