The Hebrew word for integrity as used here by David is "tom", and it means completeness, moral innocence, uprightness, etc. It means that as a child of God, there will come a time when your integrity or your moral innocence will be the only key to your elevation in life. I know that Christ gave us and became for us integrity, but this one is legal. There should be the vital side of your own integrity, i.e., the one you work out just because Christ has worked some in you. This English word 'integrity' carries its root from the Latin word 'integer', from which you get the word 'integral'. It is something you can’t break, something you shouldn't break no matter the condition. What is your integrity like when it comes to your relationship with the opposite sex? What is your integrity when it comes to money? What is your integrity like when it comes to timekeeping or punctuality? What about prayers or the reading of the word? What about your attendance at church activities and programmes? Your integrity is your life. This is who you are, and this is being real to yourself.
