Psalm 23 30+ Versions in Depth RSV

Luke 7:36-39 One of the Par'i-sees asked him to eat with him, and he went to the Pharisee's house, and sat at table.

And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned he was sitting at table in the Phar'-i-see's house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment,

and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head, and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment.

Now when the Phar'i-see who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, "If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.

Luke 7:44-48 Then turning toward the women he said to Simon, "Do you see this woman? I entered your house, you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them them with her hair.

You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet.

You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.

Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little."

And he said to her, "Your sins are forgiven."

John 10:11-18 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

He who is a hireling and not a shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hireling and cares nothing for the sheep.

I am the good shepherd; I know my own and my own know me,

as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep.

And I have other sheep, that are not of this fold; I must bring them also, and they will heed my voice. So there shall be one flock, one shepherd.

For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.

No one takes it from me, but I lay it down on my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again; this charge I have received from my Father."

John 12:1-8 Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Beth'-a-ny, where Laz'a-rus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.

There they made him a supper; Martha served, and Laz'-a-rus was one of those at table with him.

Mary took a pound of costly ointment of pure nard and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped his feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment. But Judas Is-car'i-ot one of his disciples (he who was to betray him), said,

"Why was this ointment not sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?"

This he said, not that he cared for the poor but because he was thief, and as he had the money box he used to take what was put into it.

Jesus said, "Let her alone, let her keep it for the day of my burial.

The poor you always have with you, but you do not always have me."

Philippians 4:19 And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."
