Colossians 1:15-18 Christ is the exact likeness of the unseen God. He existed before God made anything at all, and, in fact,

Christ himself is the Creator who made everything in heaven and earth, they things we can see and the things we can't; the spirit world with its king and kingdoms, its rulers and authorities; all were made by Christ for his own use and glory,

He was before all else began an it is his power that holds everything together.

He is the Head of the body made up of his people--that is--his church--which he began; and his is the Leader of all those who arise from the dead, so that he is first in everything;

Life is in God's Son

1 John 5:11-13 And what is it that God has said? That he has given us eternal life, and that this life is in his Son.

So whoever has God's Son has life; whoever does not have the Son, does not have life.

I have written this to you who believe in the Son of God so that you may know you have eternal life.

coursing down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew Trees of Life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, with a fresh crop each month; the leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.

There shall be nothing in the city which is evil; for the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him,

And they shall see his face; and his name shall be written on their foreheads.

And there will be no light there--no need for lamps or sun--for the Lord God will be their light; and they shall reign forever and ever.
