*THE POWER OF THE CHURCH*
*Genesis 3:15 (KJV):* “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
The Church of Christ is the most powerful entity on the face of the earth. When Christ declared, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18), He did not stop there. He transferred that power to us, His body.
We are not a weak, struggling people trying to survive the world. We are the divine extension of Christ’s authority on the earth. When He triumphed, we triumphed with Him. When He was exalted, we were raised with Him to sit in heavenly places, far above all principality, power, and might.
Our theme scripture gives a picture of this authority. The Bible says that the enemy bruises the heel, but the Seed of the woman crushes the serpent’s head. The heel represents the message — for the scripture says, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news” (Romans 10:15).
Yes, the enemy may attempt to attack the message, to distort or oppose the Gospel, but when the Church fights back, we strike the head! When we hit the head, we hit everything the enemy represents — his systems and his empires.
One who strikes the head is greater than one who strikes the heel. The heel can heal when bruised, but when you strike the head, you do extensive damage from which they may never recover.
That is how powerful the Church of Christ is. Hallelujah!
