Matthew 3:13-17 Then cometh Je-sus from Gal'-i-lee to Jor'-dan unto John, to be baptized of him.

But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

And Je'-sus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now; for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

And Je--sus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water; and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him;

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Isaiah 11:1-5 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jes'-se, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots;

And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;

And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD; and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears;

But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth; and he shall smite the earth with with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.

Matthew 17:4-9 Then answered Pe'-ter, and said unto Je'-sus, Lord, it is good for us to be here; if thous wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Mo'-ses, and one for E-li'-as.

While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud over-shadowed them; and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him,

And when the disciples heard it, they fell on there face, and were sore afraid.

And Je'-sus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid.

And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Je'-sus only.

And as they came down from the mountain, Je'-sus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen against from the dead.

John 12:27-29 Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour; but for this cause came I unto this hour.

Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered; others said, An angel spake to him.
