The frozen tundra is still present. My genie wish for hot, blazing, melting temperatures was not granted. Darn. The highway departments, I hope, were out in diligent force yesterday clearing the roadways. I really do not want another 45 min drive for a 20 min trek to work. That tightens the neck muscles way too much.
When you must venture out today, please stay safe. The ice is still going to be in hidden places, invisible to the eye especially in the dark.
The ice of the tundra is just like ‘little’ sin. It hides. It sneaks around. It festers. It grabs you and places you in a ditch. Then you are stuck waiting for help in the cold and the dark. Sometimes you die there. However, with sin, there is always an escape route. You can always receive the tow out of the ditch that you need. All you need to do is repent and ask God for his tow strap. He will, with no qualms, reach down and guide you to the clear path. The safe path. The healing path.
The world will judge, but the world is not the one that determines your place in eternity; He is. The world will cast you away, but the world is not your destiny. The world will send you away as garbage, but He will welcome you home with open arms.
