No Straws Allowed.

This world is made up of all kinds of people, and the truth is that some are easier to love than others. Being around those who are critical, judgmental, and bossy can be downright frustrating. However, because we live in a sinful world, this won’t change until Jesus comes, so it’s important that we learn to love everyone. You’ll find contentious people everywhere you go, even among family, friends, and church members. They may be opinionated, quick to disagree, controlling, or confrontational. Trying to please them is exhausting and leaves you feeling so exasperated that you literally become emotionally and physically drained. But don’t get mad at people for sucking the life out of you when you keep giving them a straw. If you permit them to push your buttons and get into an argument, you will fall into the devil’s trap. Never allow anyone to steal your joy. Remember that only God can change hearts. Pray for Holy Spirit's strength to resist the urge to fight back or become defensive. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:24-26, “And the Lord’s servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance, leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.” Pray for God to give you patience, wisdom, and strength to be a witness to all difficult people... one loving action at a time. Text: Hebrews 12:14, Romans 12:18, James 3:18, 2 Timothy 2:23
