Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Yesterday was so much fun. Down route. Late truck. Broken lift. A smidgen (insert sarcasm) of snow. What more could a person ask for …. Oh wait … LOTS OF PACKAGES. And…and … almost forgot … a broken heater at work. Haha. Welcome to peak season, boys and girls. Christmas at the post office is here. Even looks like we might get a repeat of yesterday…do you wanna build a snowman?

December is the month that we look forward to as a family sitting around a tree and sharing stories, memories, and gifts. To wake up Christmas morning to the excitement on the children’s faces for what they have stared at all month long, the colorful and brightly wrapped presents with wondiferous surprises within. Then their eyes widen when they get to the hidden treasure. The pure joy of the Christmas season…is like none other.

The enemy has tried to commercialize the season to a horrid game of who gets the best gift and the most expensive…but to those who truly understand the season, no amount of commercializing will change our hearts. The Christmas season is that of Love. The Love of a Father, who knowingly sent his Son into a dark world to bring the Light of Love. As you are going through the stores and seeking that perfect gift, I encourage you to take time to see the true meaning and know that the dollar amount is not the gift; it is the genuine love behind the gift that matters.

Christmas is now 23 days away. Do not lose sight of the Reason for this beautiful season. I give my Christmas fanatic friends a hard time, but truth be told, this is the most beautiful season that we have. Embrace the Reason of Love.

Today is another tundra-type day. Be safe. Enjoy the beauty of the snow, but not from the ditch…it is not as pretty from that vantage point. Please be safe.

Be blessed today my friends.
