John 5:24-25 I am telling you the truth; those who hear my words and believe in him who sent me have eternal life. They will not be judged, but have already passed from death to life.

I am telling you the truth; the time is coming--the time has already come--when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear it will come to life.

The Witness about Jesus Christ

1 John 5:6-13 Jesus Christ is the one who came with the water of his baptism and the blood of his death. He came not only with the water, but with both the water and the blood. And the Spirit himself testifies that this is true, because the Spirit is truth.

There are three witnesses.

the Spirit, the water, and the blood; and all three give the same testimony.

We believe human testimony; but God's testimony is much stronger, and he has given this testimony about his Son.

So those who believe in the Son of God have this testimony in their own heart, but those who do not believe God, have made a liar of him, because they have not believed what God has said about his Son.

The testimony is this: God has given us eternal life, and this life has its source in his Son.

Whoever has the Son has this life, whomever does not have the Son of God does not have life.

Eternal Life

I am writing this to you so that you may know that you have eternal life--you that believe in the Son of God.

The Word of Life

John 1:1-5 In the beginning the Word already existed; the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

From the very beginning the Word was with God.

Through him God made all things; not one thing in all creation was made without him.

The word was the source of life, and this life brought light to people.

The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has never put it out.

John 1:9-11 This was the real light--the light that comes into the world and shines on all people.

The Word was in the world, and though God made the world through him, yet the world did not recognize  him.

He came to his own country, but his own people did not receive him.

John 8:43-47 Why do you not understand What I say? Is it because you cannot bear to listen to my message.

You are the children of your father, the Devil, and you want to follow the your father's desires. From the very beginning he was a murderer and has never been on the side of truth, because there is no truth in him. When he tell a lie, he is only doing what is natural to him, because he is a liar and the father of all lies.

But I tell the truth, and that is why you do not believe me?

Which one of you can prove that I am guilty of sin? If I tell the truth, then why do you not believe me?

He who comes from God listens to God's words. You, however are not from God, and that is why you will not listen. "

Ephesian 5:8-13 You yourselves used to be in the darkness, but since you have become the Lord's people, you are in the light. So you must live like people who belong to the light,

for it is the light that brings the rich harvest of every kind of goodness, righteousness, and truth.

Try to learn what pleases the Lord.

Have nothing to do with the worthless things that people do, things that belong to the darkness. Instead, bring them out to the light.

(It is really too shameful even to talk about the things they do in secret.)

And when all things are brought out to the light, then their true nature is clearly revealed;

1 Corinthians 15:9-11 For I am the least of all the apostles. --I do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted God's church.

But by God's grace I am what I am, and the grace that he gave me was not without effect. On the contrary I have worked harder than any of the other apostles, although it was not really my own doing, but God's grace working with me,

So then, whether if came from me or from them, this is what we all preach, and this is what you believe.
