2 Samuel 11:1 And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go forth to battle, that Da'-vid sent Jo'-ab, and his servants with him, and all Is'-ra-el; and they destroyed the children of Am'-mon, and besieged Rab'-bah. But Da'-vid tarried still at Je-ru'-sa-lem.
2 Kings 3:25 And they beat down the cities, and on every good piece of land cast every man his stone, and filled it; and they stopped all the wells of water, and felled all the good trees; only in Kir-har'-a-seth left they the stones thereof; howbeit the slingers went about it, and smote it.

Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; it is an evil time.

Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgement in the gate; it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Jo'-seph.
Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the Lord, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets, and they shall say in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skillful of lamentation to wailing.
And in all vineyards shall be wailing; for I will pass through thee, saith the LORD.
Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return unto the LORD; for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
Joel 2:15-17 Blow the trumpet in Zi'-on, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly;
Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those who suck the breasts; let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.
Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them; wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?
