Isaiah 2:20-21 In that day a man will cast away his idols of silver And his idols of gold, Which they made, each for himself to worship, To the moles and bats,
To go into the clefts of the rocks, And into the crags of the rugged rocks, From the terror of the Lord And the glory of His majesty, When he arises to shake the earth mightily.
Jonah 1:5 Then the mariners were afraid; and every man cried out to his god, and threw the cargo that was in the ship into the sea, to lighten the load. But Jonah had gone down into the lowest parts of the ship, had lain down, and was fast asleep.

The Day of the LORD
There fore the Lord God of hosts, the Lord, says this: "There shall be wailing in all streets, And they shall say in all the highways, Alas! Alas!' They shall call the farmer to mourning, And skillful lamenters to wailing.
In all vineyards there shall be wailing, For I will pass through you." Says the LORD.
A Call to Repentance
Hosea 6:1 Come and let us return to the Lord; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but he will bind us up.
Joel 2:15-17 Blow the trumpet in Zion, Consecrate a fast, Call a sacred assembly;
Gather the people, Sanctify the congregation, Assemble the elders, Gather the children and nursing babes; Let the bridegroom go out from his chamber, And the bride from her dressing room.
Let the priests, who minister to the Lord, Weep between the porch and the altar; Let them say, "Spare Your people, O LORD, And do not give Your heritage to reproach, That the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples 'Where is their God?'"

Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth.
