Good morning God
Dear Heavenly Father,
We stand in awe before Your throne, hearts overflowing with gratitude for the profound truth You revealed through Your Son, Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 15:16, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.” Oh, what divine mystery and boundless love! You, the Sovereign Creator of the universe, the Alpha and Omega, did not wait for us to seek You out in our frailty and wandering. No, in Your infinite wisdom and mercy, You first chose us—flawed, undeserving vessels—drawing us from the shadows of sin into the light of Your eternal purpose.
We praise You, Lord, for this unmerited selection! Like the branches grafted into the true Vine (John 15:1-5), we are not self-appointed but handpicked by Your grace. How can we withhold our thanksgiving? You have called us not to idleness but to fruitfulness—to go forth and produce works of righteousness that endure beyond the fleeting seasons of this life. In a world of temporary pursuits, You promise permanence to our labors: fruit that remains, echoing into eternity. For this appointment, we exalt Your name! You equip us with Your Spirit, the Comforter who empowers us to love as You love, serve as You serve, and witness as You witnessed (Acts 1:8). Blessed be Your holy name, for in choosing us, You have woven us into the tapestry of Your redemptive story.
Father, we thank You for the assurance of answered prayer, a privilege born of intimacy with the Son. Whatever we ask in Jesus’ name—be it strength to endure trials, wisdom to disciple nations, or healing for broken hearts—You delight to give, that Your glory might shine through us. Help us, then, to abide in Christ, pruning away what hinders and cultivating what blooms for Your kingdom (John 15:7-8). May our lives overflow with the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). We are eternally grateful, not for our merits, but for Yours.
In the mighty name of Jesus, our Chosen One who chose us first, we pray. Amen.
