The “X” in Xmas has nothing to do with Xing Christ out of Christmas. The “X” is chi in Greek, which is the first letter in Christ (Χριστός -Christos). Ancient Christians would use this for a representation of Christ during times of persecution so they could know one another. The truth of the matter is that Christmas and Xmas literally mean the same thing. There is no need for alarm. There is an interesting history behind it, which goes back to the roots of our faith.
