The definition of fear in this verse means dread, that ought to be feared, terribleness, terror

The number 4172 means a fear, terror.

Genesis 9:1-7 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, "Be fruitful and multiple, and fill the earth.

The fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every bird of the air, upon every that creeps on the ground and all the fish of the sea; into your hand they are delivered.

Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and as I give you the green plants, I give you everything.

Only you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood.

For your lifeblood I will surely require a reckoning; of every beast I will requite it and of man; of every man's brother I will require the life of man.

Whoever shes the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for God made man in his own image.

And you, be fruitful and multiply, bring forth abundantly on the earth and multiply in it."

Psalm 9:19-20 Arise, O LORD! Let not man prevail; let the nations be judged before thee!

Put them in fear, O LORD! Let the nations know that they are but men!  Selah

Isaiah 8:11-15 For the LORD spoke thus to me with his strong hand upon me, and warned me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,

"Do not call conspiracy all that this people call conspiracy, and do not fear what they fear, nor be in dread.

But the LORD of hosts, him you shall regard as holy; let him be your fear, and let him be your dread.

And he will become a sanctuary, and a stone of offense, and a rock of stumbling to both houses of Israel, a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

And many shall stumble thereon; they shall fall and be broken; they shall be snared and taken."

Malachi 1:6-11 "A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is my honor? And If I am a master, where is my fear? says the LORD of hosts to you, O priests, who despise my name. You say, 'How have we despise thy name?'

By offering polluted foods upon my alter. And you say, 'How have we polluted it?" By thinking that the LORD's table may be despised.

When you offer blind animals in sacrifice, is that no evil? And when you offer those that are lame or sick, is that no evil? Present that to your governor; will he be pleased with you or show you favor? says the LORD of hosts.

And now entreat the favor of God, that he may be gracious to us. With such a gift from your hand, will he show favor to any of you? says the LORD of hosts.

Oh, that there one among you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire upon my altar in van! I have no pleasure in you, says the LORD of hosts, and I will not accept an offering from your hand.

For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense is offered to my name, and a pure offering; for my name is great among the nations, says the LORD of hosts.

Malachi 2:3-8 Behold, I will rebuke your offering, and spread dung upon your faces, the dung of your offerings, and I will put you out of my presence.

So shall you know that I have sent this command to you, that my covenant with Le'-vi may hold, says the LORD of hosts.

My covenant with him was covenant of life and peace, and I gave them to him, that he might fear; and he feared me, he stood in awe of my name.

True instruction was in his mouth, and no wrong was found on his lips. He walked with me in peace and uprightness, and he turned many from iniquity.

For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.

But you have turned aside from the way; you have caused many to stumble by your instruction; you have corrupted the covenant of Le'-vi, says the LORD of hosts,
