Scripture Focus:
• “This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24 (KJV)
• “Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.” — 2 Corinthians 9:15 (KJV)
• “The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light.” — Isaiah 9:2 (KJV)

Heavenly Father,
We rise on this Thankful Thursday with hearts full of gratitude, awe, and expectation. Thank You for blessing us to see another day in this beautiful Advent season—a time of hope, reflection, and preparation for the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Lord, this morning we pause to rejoice in the unspeakable gift of Your Son. Thank You for sending the Light into our darkness, the Hope into our weariness, the Peace into our storms, and the Savior into a world in need of redemption. Father, we declare with joy that “This is the day that You have made,” and we choose to be glad in it.
As we walk through this day, clothe us in Your presence. Fill our hearts with gratitude and our minds with peace. Help us to treasure the meaning of Advent—watching, waiting, and worshiping. Strengthen our faith as we reflect on the promise that the Messiah came for us, dwells with us, and will return for us.
Lord, let the light of Jesus Christ shine through our words, our attitudes, and our decisions today. Make us instruments of Your hope to our families, coworkers, and everyone we encounter. Teach us to be thankful in all things, knowing Your hand guides every step.
Forgive us for moments we have taken Your blessings for granted. Renew our hearts so that every praise we give is sincere and every act of kindness is rooted in love. Today, we say thank You for life, thank You for salvation, thank You for grace, and thank You for the promise of Your soon-returning King.
Lord, go before us today. Protect our loved ones, strengthen our homes, and surround us with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let Your joy be our strength and Your Word be our anchor.
We offer this prayer in the mighty, matchless, and wonderful name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.
