Genesis 3:1-19 NKJV
Genesis 2:15-25 Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it.
And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;
"but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
And the LORD God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him."
Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called them each living creature, that was its name.
So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the birds of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper comparable to him.
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
Then the rib which the LORD God had taken from man He made into a woman, and brought her to the man.
And Adam said; “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.”
Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Job 38:1-3 Then the LORD answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said;
"Who is this who darkens counsel By words without knowledge?
Now prepare yourself like a man, I will question you, and you shall answer Me.
Job 31:29-37 "If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him who hated me, Or lifted myself up when evil found him.
(Indeed I have not allowed my mouth to sin By asking for a curse of his soul);
If the men of my tent have not said, 'Who is there that has not been satisfied with his meat? '
(But no sojourner had to lodge in the street, For I have opened my doors to the traveler);
If I have covered my transgressions as Adam, By hiding my iniquity in my bosom,
Because I feared the great multitude, And dreaded the contempt of families, So that I kept silence And did not go out of the door--
Oh, that I had one to hear me! Here is my mark. Oh, that the Almighty would answer me, That my Prosecutor had written a book!
Surely I would carry it on my shoulder, And bind it on me like a crown;
I would declare to Him the number of my steps; Like a prince I would approach Him.
2 Corinthians 11:1-4 Oh, that you would bear with me in a little folly--and indeed you do bear with me.
For I am jealous for you with godly jealousy. For I have betrothed you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--you may well put up with it!
