Divine redirection is one of the ways God helps us correct past mistakes and realign with His will for our lives. It’s like using Google Maps—when you miss a turn, you don’t need to panic because the system recalculates and reroutes you. The new path may be longer or less smooth, but it could also turn out better than the original. The key is to trust and obey.
However, I’ve come to realize that receiving instructions from God is often not as difficult as following them. The challenge lies in our willingness and ability to trust and obey—especially when the new path feels unfamiliar.
For instance, while seeking direction, you might have your mind set on going south or expect an answer from the east. Then suddenly, God leads from the north. Your prayer point quickly changes to:
“Lord, give me the grace to obey—this is hard for me.”
Sometimes, we even start rebuking the instruction, mistaking God’s leading for the devil trying to mislead us.
But truly—
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.
I receive grace to obey, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
