Psalm 3:4-5 (KJV):
"I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah. I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord sustained me."

Empowerment:
When doubts and fears fill your heart, remind yourself of God's help and love,
David, while surrounded by enemies and uncertainty, declared a simple but powerful truth: God hears and sustains. He cried out, and God listened. He slept in peace, not because the danger was gone, but because the Lord was present. This passage teaches us that divine protection is not the absence of trouble, but the assurance of God’s hand upon us.

How often do we lie awake at night burdened by fear, worry, or uncertainty? Yet David shows us that faith allows rest. Sleep became possible because his trust was anchored in God’s sustaining power. When we release our battles into God’s hands, He gives us peace beyond human understanding.

Practical Lessons
1. Pray out loud – Speak your fears and requests before the Lord; He listens.
2. Trust in His watchfulness – Just as He sustained David through the night, He watches over you while you rest.
3. Rest in His provision – Sleep can be an act of faith, declaring that God is in control even when you close your eyes.

Heavenly Father, I thank You because You hear me when I cry. Tonight and every night, help me to lay down my burdens and trust You to sustain me. Give me peace in the storms, rest in the struggles, and assurance that You are in control, Fill me with your Holy Ghost and Power In Jesus’ name, Amen.
