THE CHRISTIANITY OF LOSING (PART 3)
Matthew 16:25 (AMPC)..... For whoever is bent on saving his temporal life [his comfort and security here] shall lose it [eternal life]; and whoever loses his life [his comfort and security here] for My sake shall find it [life everlasting].

If you are ever going to follow Christ and live for him, you will lose things.

Matthew 10:39 (AMPC)..... Whoever finds his lower life will lose it [the higher life], and whoever loses his lower life on My account will find it [the higher life].

True Christianity will cost you somethings. If you are truly practising Christianity, then it will cost you somethings.

1 Corinthians 10:23 (AMPC)...... All things are legitimate [permissible–and we are free to do anything we please], but not all things are helpful (expedient, profitable, and wholesome). All things are legitimate, but not all things are constructive [to character] and edifying [to spiritual life].

In Christianity, there are the lawful things and the helpful things. This is what Paul is saying in 1 Corinthians 10:23. Some things are lawful, but the question is this: are they helpful?

Yes, the Bible never spoke about gambling of any sort, meaning that it can be lawful, but is it helpful? So, if you are going to live the true Christian life, you will have to lose this thing about gambling so you can gain peace. Selah.

Lord, I ask for your help to help me walk out from any known sin that can dent my future in Jesus name. Amen.
