DEALING WITH HATE IN LIFE AND MINISTRY (PART 2)
Genesis 27:41 (KJV).... .And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.
Hatred stems from personal perception of powerlessness or experience in which we feel injured or mistreated by others. Sometimes it can be rooted in a perceived threat to our survival as individuals, which naturally triggers a strong emotional response.
We define it as a profoundly intense and enduring dislike for someone or something. It can be tenacious and often has roots in mistrust, fear, or lack of individuality, power, and vulnerability.
One of the painful aspects of this whole thing is that you can be hated for no cause.
John 15:25 (KJV)..... But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.
There are children suffering from this today. They are hated by their parents for no true cause. There are people who are suffering this in churches today; they are hated just because someone said something negative about them. Sometimes it's even a lie.
I tell you the truth, hatred is one thing you must suffer for Christ's sake. Don’t let how people feel about you stop you. Don't let what they think about you or say about you stop you. Just keep on going. Be wise.
Prayer:
I bind the spirit of hatred among us in Jesus name. I bind its operations in our ministry from today. And i declare let love rule. Amen.
Bible Reference: Genesis 29:1-45.
Wisdom Capsule:
