DEALING WITH HATE IN LIFE AND MINISTRY (PART 5).
Proverbs 14:17 (KJV)...... He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: And a man of wicked devices is hated.
I hope you know that your character can be the reason you are hated in the ministry? You can’t be sowing seeds of discord in a department and expect people to love you. Don't expect people to show you love if they find out you are the reason for the trouble they are facing in life and ministry.
You can’t plot evil against people and expect them to love you. You can’t be a gossip and expect people to love you. It will take faith and the mercy of God for people to find out you are speaking against their church and their man of God and want them to love you; the attitude is not mutual.
When you find out that you are hated, one way you deal with it is that you pray that the Lord deliver you from their evil plans, both in their thoughts and deeds. Another thing is to LOVE THEM REGARDLESS. I know this is hard, but this is what makes us Christians. We love even the most difficult set of people.
Our Lord Jesus prayed to the Father to forgive those who killed him. Stephen did the same, so you and I are to do the same too. And the last thing to do is to find opportunities to give to your haters and seek ways to do them good. Be wise.
Prayer:
Lord, I thank you for your word. I thank you for showing me the way out and I receive the strength to practice all of these today in Jesus name. Amen.
