PRAYER IS NOT ENOUGH.

Matthew 6:5-6 (KJV)....... And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6. But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

There is an error I have seen with a lot of believers and church leaders when it comes to evangelism and church growth. That error is buried in the understanding that all we need to fill up the church and have people attend our programmes and crusades is prayers.

So, we pray, pray and pray until we are tired, but after everything, we don't see the results of our prayers, and we get angry and blame God or look for who or what to blame.

Dear children of God, leaders, and pastors, when it comes to soul winning or evangelism, prayer is not enough. As important and powerful as prayer is, it will not get the job done alone.
You will have to add something to the prayers.

What are we to add, you may ask?

Prayer plus preaching equals soul winning. You and I, after we must have prayed, must go out and talk to the people about Jesus. We must go out to invite them, and then we will see the effect of our prayers in the increase in souls won for Christ. Amen.

Prayer:
Lord, I am grateful for the teaching of your word. You have through your word strengthened my understanding in the work of the kingdom. And by this, I know I carry the mindset to do more. Amen.
