Good morning to everyone. Grace and peace be with you.

Most everyone has a point in time when they become laser focused. Nothing around them matters. Our demeanor and facial expressions show, to some, what would be considered uninviting or hostile. This encounter usually happens one or two times: you have a large project with an immediate deadline, or you are running behind, and you are trying to play catch-up.

I have found here, lately, that I am putting myself in these positions more often. The day just gets away from me and I know that I need to get certain items done and quickly. For me, it is either first thing in the morning when I am trying to organize the day from the mess that the plant sent us or cards we were dealt with empty routes. Or. It is late in the day when I am trying to get out on time. Yesterday was no different.

When I got there and attempted to log into the system, my computer toys were not talking to each other. That always makes for an entertaining day when your entire program runs off the computer. After a few pivots, I was able to get what needed to be done … done. The afternoon included a staff meeting and then a missed scan that had to be completed and … I love this … a dead battery on my work laptop. (a whole other story there).

Throughout the day, I had such an uninviting face of focus, trying very hard not to throw my computer as it had a daylong tantrum. I am fortunate enough to work with a group of people who know me well enough to understand the difference between my focus expressions and true irritation. In an effort to keep the mood up, they will find the sarcastic buttons and push them so as that I will remember that what I am working on is not life and death. For this I am truly grateful.

People are placed in our life for different reasons. We will agree with them sometimes, we will disagree with them sometimes, and we may absolutely fight with them sometimes. However, for each of those situations, there is a lesson to be learned. These people and these situations were placed in our path for a particular reason and He has a lesson that he wants us to learn. It is up to us to understand that, look for it, process it, and use it as needed. In all of yesterday, I learned many things … one was not to throw the laptop…haha. But seriously, I learned several key elements that reassure me that it is my time to retire and that the office that I have grown to love … will be just fine.

Whatever the situation is that you are in, look for the lesson or Light that He has placed and welcome it. Take into consideration that change is inevitable and how we react to change is the key to peace.

Be blessed today my friends.
