A SON'S TESTIMONY .... CONCERNING HIS DAD'S TESTIMONY !
After Dad's physical therapy session we sat on the couch together and I listened as he talked about how he got saved and how he knew he was ready to go to Heaven. He brought it up and kept on talking about it. That was a year ago on December 5th, 2024, and it was the last time I got to be with my dad.
I snapped this picture of him while he was doing his physical therapy. He didn't realize my son, Cameron and I was there when I took the picture.
He was doing better and gaining strength after having a couple of bad falls the month before.
While he kept talking and talking about how wonderful it was to know that you are going to heaven, his physical therapist was packing up his stuff across the room. When dad stopped talking for a minute the physical therapist made a comment. Dad didn't hear him.
The therapist said, "I have worked with multiple patients who have dementia and the ones who are saved never forget their salvation experience, and they want to tell it over and over again."
Dad was doing physically better that day. He was getting stronger. I did not know it would be the last time I would see him. It was on the schedule for me to pick him up 5 days later, but it was on God's schedule for the Lord to pick him up 5 days later and take him home to Heaven.
I'm so glad of the precious precious memories I have of spending time with dad just listening to him tell his same stories over and over but especially his story about getting saved. His testimony lives on, and I will see him and my mother again one day!
