“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”- Isaiah 9:6
Thought Of The Day...
As we enter the Second Sunday of Advent, we turn our hearts toward the One Isaiah foretold—the Prince of Peace. Advent is a season of expectation, but it can also be a season filled with pressure, worry, and internal storms. Yet Jesus Christ enters our world—and our hearts—not with chaos, but with peace that passes all understanding.
The peace Jesus brings is not fragile, not temporary, and not dependent on circumstances.
He gives peace that holds steady even when life does not.
• When your mind is overwhelmed, He speaks, “Peace, be still.”
• When anxiety rises like a storm, His presence quiets the waves.
• When relationships are strained, He restores.
• When life feels out of control, His peace anchors your soul.
The peace of Jesus is not the absence of trouble—it is the presence of a Person.
He steps into the storm, sits with us in the storm, and speaks to the storm.
Just as He calmed the raging sea with a word, He calms the storms within you—fear, worry, grief, anger, uncertainty—and the storms around you—conflict, pressure, and the noise of life.
This Advent, the Prince of Peace invites you to pause, breathe, and remember:
You are not alone. He is with you. He is for you. And His peace is stronger than any storm you face.
Something to Think About in This Advent Season...
• What storm inside my heart do I need to surrender to the Prince of Peace today?
• Where in my life do I need to invite Jesus to speak, “Peace, be still”?
• How can I create space this week to slow down and rest in Christ’s peace?
• Who around me needs to experience the peace of Jesus through my words or actions?
Prayer...
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for sending Jesus, the promised Prince of Peace.
On this Second Sunday of Advent, I invite Your peace into every part of my life.
Lord Jesus, speak “Peace, be still” to every storm within me—every fear, every worry, every anxious thought.
Quiet the storms around me that steal my focus and joy.
Fill my home, my heart, and my mind with Your presence.
Help me walk in peace, live in peace, and bring peace to others.
Be my anchor, my rest, and my calm in every season.
In Jesus’ mighty name—Amen.
May the Prince of Peace surround you,
May His peace steady your spirit,
And may His presence reign in your home
as you journey through this Advent season.
Peace be unto you—today and always. Enjoy your Sunday Church Services.
