After hearing this, I thought about how Jesus didn’t come to the wise men, the wise men came to Him. They made copious travel plans, their caravans left, and history was made.

You would think that they had done enough, but I can’t believe their faith wasn’t tested when they met Him. They met him when he was a toddler. They didn’t see the shepherds or the angels, they just saw Him, a little boy. Mary and Joseph must have told them so many supernatural stories that could not compare to their own. However, they choose to believe the toddler was the Son of God, the Lamb of God, the King of Kings and Ever lasting Father, the source for all peace. They went back home with faith that it was all true, and defied Herod.

In the same way we have to understand God does not want us to see everything we want to see here, He wants us to serve Him and live by faith and believe the stories we have been told. Just like the wisemen.
