UNDERSTANDING THE BAPTISM OF REPENTANCE AND BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. (Read Acts 19:1-7)

BAPTISM of REPENTANCE
Since John the B. was the last OT Prophet, his Water Baptism is a Prototype of the actual or its fulfillment in the NT. Several times he prophesied: I BAPTIZE YOU WITH WATER, BUT THERE IS ONE WHO WILL BAPTIZE "immerse" YOU WITH THE HOLY GHOST and with Fire! All that have confessed their sins and baptized under his ministry were short of Cleansing of Sins bec. Jesus's BLOOD had not YET OFFERED in His death. Though they had believed yet did not possess the Holy Spirit bec He was not yet given! Such is the case of the 12 Ephesian Disciples. So, when Paul found out they were baptized by John the Baptist after they have believed, he baptized them and laid hands upon them receiving the Holy Ghost. Prior to this time the Holy Spirit had already descended and immersed the Apostles on the Day of Pentecost which is the fulfillment of Joel's prophecy in OT.
BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST. Rephrase: Immersion in the Holy Spirit. Such as the Apostles were immersed by the Holy Ghost at the Day of Pentecost.
WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT PERFORMS BESIDE REGENERATION? Titus 3:5,6

- renewing
- transforming
Therefore, whoever is immersed or baptized in the Holy Ghost in Regeneration experiences the Washing of sins, the Holy Spirit with the Blood of Jesus performing it, RENEWING - to create a New Man, Transforming into Christlikeness. Afterward, as a Church Ordinance, the person who was regenerated, manifested it outwardly by submitting to the Water Baptism which symbolizes Death, Burial, Resurrection. But the Spiritual version is IMMERSION IN THE HOLY SPIRIT! Read again Titus 3:5,6!
