THE ADVENT TRUTH
There’s a trend going around where people are using a sad song remix to talk about losing their faith—blaming God for church hurt, hypocrites, toxic Christians, unanswered prayers, or personal pain. But let’s be honest: God is not the problem. People are. Sin is. The enemy wants us to walk away from the only One who can actually heal us from the very things that hurt us.

Jesus never abused anyone. He never lied, manipulated, betrayed, or abandoned anyone. In fact, He was betrayed, rejected, beaten, and crucified unjustly—yet He still loves us. So why do we blame Him for the mistakes of broken, sinful people?

Let’s make this clear:

Church hurt is real — but Jesus didn’t hurt you.
“He was despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3). Jesus understands your pain more than you realize.

Hypocrites exist — but they don’t represent Christ.
“For they say, and do not” (Matthew 23:3). Jesus Himself called out religious hypocrisy. He never approved of it.

People fail — but God never does.
“Let God be true, but every man a liar” (Romans 3:4). God doesn’t change just because people do.

God shouldn’t be judged by those who misrepresent Him.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). That includes pastors, leaders, family, friends—everyone. But their failure is not God abandoning you.

Don’t throw away eternal life because someone hurt your feelings. Don’t reject truth because a false Christian lied to you. Don’t give up on God when He never gave up on you.

Jesus is still worth following. Truth is still worth believing. Salvation is still worth fighting for. The real question isn’t “Why did those people do me wrong?” The real question is: Will I let their sin separate me from God—or will I finally go directly to Him for myself?

He’s still calling you. Not to bad people—but to Himself.
