Private Conversations
Prayer is a private conversation with the King of the Universe where you can share your most intimate secrets, concerns, or heartaches and know that you're not only being heard, but God instantly starts working on your behalf. The more you commune with God, the deeper your friendship with Him grows. Psalm 105:4 tells us, “Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” Talking to God is like talking to someone on the phone. You may not see Him on the other end, but you know He is listening. It’s important not to do all the talking. Be sure and listen to His voice, and He will renew your strength so that you’ll be able to face whatever the devil throws at you. The Bible says in Isaiah 40:31, “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” What an incredible gift from God to be able to speak to Him directly. Prayer is also a vital weapon against the enemy and helps you to make good choices. Whatever demon you are battling - pray your way through it for God will give you the strength to overcome. Whether it is an addiction, adultery, lying, stealing, or any other sin that you’re struggling with - just give it to Jesus! Your strength comes from God, and without His divine direction and Holy Spirit power, you will never make the right choices. You “need” God’s guidance every day, every hour, every minute, and every second of your life. Remember, it’s never too late to have a private conversation with God. Just start by telling Him your thoughts, concerns, feelings, and, yes, even your deepest desires . . . because He wants to hear it all! Text: 1 Chronicles 16:11, Colossians 4:2, Psalm 34:17, Psalm 55:22
