FIRE IS NOT NICE.
Acts 28:1-3 (KJV)......
1). And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
2). And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
3). And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
The character of the fire is not a nice one. Fire destroys, burns, consumes, kills, and exposes. But also, fire is responsible for cooking or roasting foods. Looking at the whole character of the fire, it is as if it does more evil than good.
This is the truth: fire is not nice. Do you know who God has made the believer?
Hebrews 1:7 (KJV)...... And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, And his ministers a flame of fire.
So, you and I are flames of fire. And one of the characteristics we must exhibit in these last days if we are going to reach our goals and fulfil our purpose is that we must not be too nice.
I was shocked when this dropped in my spirit: "Son, you are too nice in dealing with some issues of life." Sometimes don't be. This is the same with every one of us too. When the Lord banished the devil out of heaven to date, he (God) had not looked back nor changed his mind.
There are times to be nice, but there are times to be hard over issues. Selah.
Prayer:
Lord, I thank you for your word and I ask that you teach me the how to go about issues so I don’t sin against you and your will. Amen.
