PULPIT OR PULL-PIT MINISTRY.

1 Corinthians 9:15-16 (MSG)..... Still, I want it made clear that I’ve never gotten anything out of this for myself, and that I’m not writing now to get something. I’d rather die than give anyone ammunition to discredit me or question my motives.

16). If I proclaim the Message, it’s not to get something out of it for myself. I’m compelled to do it, and doomed if I don’t!

This verse 16 in the king James version reads like this: 1 Corinthians 9:16 (KJV)

16). For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!

The questions you and I will be asked when we see Jesus face to face are these: Did you preach the gospel? Did you fulfil your purpose on earth? Did you carry out your kingdom assignment?

Nobody is ready to listen to your complaint. There are many believers today who think they can’t fulfil their purpose if they are not given a pulpit ministry. Most of the fights in today's churches are centred around the pulpit. People kill for it because all they truly want is the recognition and visibility that comes from the pulpit. And if you are not doing the pulpit ministry with them, then you are not functioning at all.

But the truth is this: we may not all be called to a pulpit ministry, but we are called to a pull-pit ministry. You don’t have to stand on a pulpit preaching to bring sinners to Christ, but you can be on the street pulling men out of the pit for Christ. And on the last day, he won't ask if you stood on the pulpit for him, but he will ask if you pulled men from the pit for him. Selah.

Prayer:
I am ready Lord and I die to self and the praises of men that only lead to vain glory, but i submit to your will. Amen.

Bible Reference: Philippians 3:1-21.

Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 18:7 (MSG).... Fools are undone by their big mouths; their souls are crushed by their words.
