ARE YOU LIVING FOR GOD? (PART 2).
Colossians 3:23 (NLT)..... Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.
Working hard is good because God hates laziness. Lazy people are not friends of God, but even so, God encourages us to work hard and take what we do seriously. To work as though your life will end without it is a sign you are not living for God.
Another way we know you are living for God is when you submit YOUR THOUGHTS all to him. What does this mean? You know there are people who think they are very wise? They judge other people because they think they are the only intelligent ones and others are not. Such people are not living for God.
Proverbs 3:7 (KJV).... .Be not wise in thine own eyes: Fear the LORD, and depart from evil.
So long as your thoughts are clashing with God's word and ways, then know you are not living for God. When it comes to living for God, it is not giving God ten percent like your tithe, but it is giving him 100% because 99% is not good enough.
Living for him is you submitting your whole being to him, including your thoughts, because if not, your thoughts will continue to clash with what he wants to do. Be wise.
Prayer:
Loving father, I thank you for this your word and I ask that you forgive me in any way I must I lived for myself and not yielding completely to your will in my thought life. Amen.
Bible Reference: Romans 121-4 (AMP), 1 Corinthians 4:6-9 (AMP).
Wisdom Capsule:
Proverbs 18:9 (MSG)..... Slack habits and sloppy work are as bad as vandalism.
